I didn't know if it would help with packetloss at all and make it more stable. I have a linksys usb ac1200 usb wifi adapter and a asus pce AC56 adapter. The asus adapter shows a max connection type of a not ac while the linksys does support ac. Both get the same download speed and local speed. I have a spare netgear n600 wifi extender so that would be like half wifi and half wired.

If the signal strength is good with 5Ghz I don't think packetloss will be affected by switching, but you can try it out. If anything, I would expect less packetloss from 5Ghz due to less interference on that spectrum (which may or may not be true these days depending on devices in your area, but is a general assumption). You can also try switching channels on your router to something less congested.

Technically you can check if you can access the router by plugging its gateway ip into your browser, which may be unlocked or have a default admin/pass login, but if you'd rather not that's fine too. I honestly don't think it would be helpful unless you have serious connection issues.

okay, so is it just my isp or bf4 causing the inconsistent hit registration?

If the questionable registration happens on weekend nights or essentially times of high traffic, maybe it's your ISP. I've experienced issues myself but think bf4 servers are more likely the cause. I may be biased on the latter cause since I've gone through TBG and EGO completely crashing multiple times...

It's ethernet. I have Spectrum at the moment.
I also redid the test elsewhere with slightly lower stats, and yet it's still regarded as "very fast" according to them : P *facepalm* idk if it really is or not
